I truly believe this octopus was an incredible idea, and having it float in Auckland Harbor is just the perfect finishing touch. The artist behind this masterpiece has such a wonderful imagination, and it’s incredibly inspiring.

Why does pencil lead stick to paper
WALT we are learning to identify the main idea
I had to listen to a podcast on how pencil lead sticks to paper I also had to take notes on the podcast here are some of them
Pencil lead sticks to paper without coming off because pencil lead applies friction you have tiny little fibers in the paper which allows it to stick. Pencils contain graphite the pencil was first developed in the 1500s the found big slab in the ground and made wood around it to make the pencil when they dug it out of the ground it looked like lead but darker so they called it dark lead.
This podcast explains how pencil lead sticks to paper.
Probability
We were so lucky to get to learn about probability. We learnt how to recognize the probability of these events. So for example it is certain it will be dark tonight because it is dark every night. It is unlikely that I will go to the moon when I’m older because I don’t want to be an astronaut when I grow up but I didn’t put impossible because I want to be an astronomer. It Is impossible for me to fly tomorrow because people can’t fly without machines aka gliders, planes, or parachutes etc etc. Did you know Wilber and Oliver White made the first airplane in 1903?
